The Observer
"The Globe: Twenty- and 30-somethings love the laid-back atmosphere of this airy modern bar. While its long, dark wood tables, scattered with chessboards and newspapers, are very East Village, this is definitely a Dublin pub. Loud banter vies with the music spun by some very talented DJs in the evenings. After hours, it converts to a nightclub (Rí-Rá). High point: Sunday afternoon jazz (not your meek hotel lobby variety)."

Dublin Entertainment : Bars : "The Globe, one of the hippest caf魢ars in town, draws artsy, trendy Dubliners who sip espresso drinks by day and pack the place at night. There's live jazz on Sunday."

"One of Dublin's classier joints, the Globe on Georges street looks like it's been transplanted from early 20th century Paris or summat. It's very hip..., and every night night late, as the Globe makes up part of the groovy, older crowd haunt, Rí-Rá.
The Globe has become well established as the pre-club for the famous long running Dublin venue Rí-Rá. DJs play acid jazz to house and hip hop, providing a respite from techno tyranny elsewhere... and well known for its laid back atmosphere. The Globe also serves food."
